An Unexpected Trip

Sometimes things come up in life that cause you to set aside everything and take another path for a while.

What came up for me this week, was an invitation to fly to Virginia to assume “Grandmotherly Duties” and help my daughter and her husband with my grandson, Bennett.

They were exhausted, and my daughter needed a mother’s touch.

So I booked a couple of flights, being careful to stay far away from Atlanta, and Keith drove me to the Gainesville airport and I headed north.

What a delight!

Loving Bennett

Bennett is an angel, but even so, he is a baby, and requires ’round the clock care. So we take turns holding and comforting him while he sleeps…daddy changes diapers and momma feeds.

Of course, there is cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning and LAUNDRY! That is the utilitarian part of my visit, and it’s much appreciated.

They are A-1 parents, and share responsibilities, and when I head back to Florida, I can rest assured that Bennett will be in good hands đŸ™‚
