View from our Window

It’s cocktail hour, and Keith and I are sitting in the living room gazing out onto the Gulf of Mexico while enjoying our newly concocted favorite summer beverage: a can of cheap beer poured over frozen limeade and ice, in a tall Pilsner glass. Quite refreshing, and well within our retirement budget!

I have to say that I feel somewhat like a mole that has emerged from a dark underground hole, after spending the winter under tall, mossy trees…it is quite bright here ~ sunlight pours through the windows and skylights, and I almost have to wear sunglasses in the house until I get used to the abundance of light. It is wonderful.

Here is the view from the living room window we are looking out of as I write from our new home at Sunset Isle RV in Cedar Key, Florida…think we’ll just sit here and watch the sunset. What a life!
