It was a relatively quiet Saturday night in T or C, but the patrons of the Cafe Groovy Gritz didn’t seem to notice.

They dined on perfectly grilled New York Strip Sirloin Steaks, quaffed their favorite microbrews and wines, and grooved to  “Me and My Baby’s” Blast from the Past Oldies Review.

One family really got into the “groovy” mood for the evening by sporting pairs of colorful peace sign sunglasses throughout their meal.

Keith and I had a great time sharing our oldies show, and it was rewarding to watch folks lip sync to our tunes and tap their toes ~ one couple even got up to “cut a rug” during our rendition of “Under the Boardwalk”, a hit for “The Drifters” in 1964.

Thanks to Rob and Joyce at the Cafe Groovy Gritz, for opening up the stage to us, and thanks to those who stayed to listen…we wouldn’t be who we are, without you!

Special note to our friend, Nancy in Kansas….hope your birthday was a rockin’ good time, and last night we played the Youngbloods hit, “Get Together” in your honor.
