Bad Moon Rising

Our studio efforts today will bring you “Bad Moon Rising”, a Credence Clearwater Revival hit written by John Fogerty, and released as a single in April of 1969.

Interestingly, the “B” side of that single is “Lodi”, which is another of the Credence tunes we do, so you can look for it to be featured in a future post.

Some Credence Clearwater Revival (CCR) trivia…In 1993, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and they were ranked at 82 in Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of 100 greatest artists of all time, with album sales totaling no less than 26 million in the United States alone. It’s called a mondegreen, and the Credence mondegreen ranks #2 on the list of mondegreens “most frequently submitted” to a certain expert named Jon Carroll, according to this Wikipedia essay.
